Atlantic Current North Atlantic Current

Flows north and northeastward at the point the eastward flowing Gulf Stream branches; the counterclockwise (6PM to 2 PM) bottom/right of the North Atlantic subpolar gyre

Turns one part of the eastern end of Gulf Stream northward and northeastward up off west coast of England and Scandinavia; forms the southeastern/counter-clockwise limb of the North Atlantic subpolar gyre. Links the Gulf Stream to the south and the Greenland Current to the north.
