Neptune's Needle

Son of the Venetian mariner John Cabot, whom he may have accompanied on his 1497 voyage to Nefoundland. Several subsequent American voyages on his own,including one in 1507-08 back to Newfoundland, sponsored by Bristol merchants. After 1510, largely in employ of Spanish crown. One voayage to South America in 1524 backed by Seville merchants.
