Brig. Brig on which the 18-year-old Richard Henry Dana, Jr. sailed outward on the voyage he recorded in Two Years Before the Mast (1840); Captain Frank Thompson "a bloody rascal." Full-scale replica of the Pilgrim, built in 1945, is tied up in San Diego, California.
