Bark. Carried 100 planters, livestock, ordnance pieces and provisionings from Gravesend, just below London, to the fishing settlement on Cape Ann, later called Salem. The Rev. Francis Higginson among the passengers and provided an account of the unusually easy and quick passage in a July 24, 1629 letter to his English friends. The ship was captained by Thomas Beecher, who settled in Charlestown after making another trip in company with the Arbella the following year.
